Taxi Driver Assaulted and Robbed in Perth – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Police Scotland is hunting for witnesses after a shocking attack on an 86-year-old taxi driver in Perth. The assault and robbery happened on Sunday, 10th September 2023, leaving the driver shaken and the community on edge.
Attack in Potterhill Gardens Car Park
The victim had just dropped off a male passenger in the car park outside Potterhill Gardens Flats between 11:30am and noon. It was there he was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint.
Good Samaritan’s Crucial Role
Police are desperate to speak with a member of the public who stepped in during the attack. Detective Constable Hoskins said, “The taxi driver was left extremely shaken by this incident. Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are keen to trace a member of the public who intervened.”
