Sheep Tragedy on A24: Lorry Overturns, Dozens Dead

A lorry carrying livestock overturned on the A24 at Dial Post, near Horsham, leaving about 60 sheep dead. The crash happened on the northbound carriageway at 4.20pm on Monday 28 September.

Man Arrested for Dangerous Driving

A 34-year-old man from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has since been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.

Road Closure and Witness Appeal

The A24 was shut in both directions for several hours as emergency services, including the RSPCA and DEFRA, rushed to the scene. Authorities thanked the public for their patience during the disruption.
