Detectives are searching for a dangerous predator after a woman was attacked and raped near Saxon Avenue, Feltham. The victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking home from a friend’s house in the early hours of Saturday, 5 October 2019, when she was struck on the back of the head and knocked unconscious.
When she regained consciousness, the horrific assault was underway. The attacker fled the scene without a trace, leaving the victim with a black eye, bruises, and cuts to her legs.
Police have now released an e-fit of the suspect, described as a white man in his forties with a noticeable two-inch scar under his right eye. He also has a striking tattoo on his right hand, a key detail that police hope will help identify him.
“We’ve been investigating this incident for a long time, and we will use every tactic at our disposal to catch this predator,” said Detective Constable Stephanie Aldridge, who is leading the probe.
Despite nationwide distribution of the e-fit, the suspect has not yet appeared on police databases. Officers are now appealing to the public for assistance.
“This man is dangerous and must be found to stop him from attacking again. If you recognise him, contact police immediately,” urged DC Aldridge.
Members of the public are asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 1266/24JAN23 or report information anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Since 2019, a specialist officer has supported the victim throughout this ongoing investigation. Police stress that no matter when an assault happens, they are ready to listen and support victims.
