A tense police lockdown has gripped Northfleet’s Hamerton Road following a violent early-morning attack at a residential property.
Specialist crime scene teams in white suits were spotted entering number 17 Hamerton Road as police sealed off the entire road. Officers with search dogs scoured the area around Northfleet Railway Station, combing through nearby land. More officers arrived later to search rubbish bins, desperate to find the weapon used in the brutal assault.
Emergency services were scrambled after Kent Police received a call from the South East Coast Ambulance Service at 2.46am on Tuesday, 4 February 2020. Paramedics rushed to the scene where a man was found seriously injured and treated on-site.
Kent Police confirmed officers remain at the scene as inquiries push forward. The attack’s circumstances are still unclear, with Hamerton Road completely closed off. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have yet been made.
