Man stabbed in chest in Southampton late-night attack
Serious assault rocks Golden Grove
Police are probing a brutal stabbing on Golden Grove, Southampton at around 1am on Monday, January 9. A man in his 30s suffered a stab wound to his chest and was rushed to hospital.
29-year-old arrested
A 29-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is still in police custody. Officers have been combing the Golden Grove area, seeking clues and witnesses.
Not believed to be gang-related
Police say this appears to be an isolated incident. The victim’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening, they confirm.
