A man in his 50s was stabbed in a shocking attack on Moss Lane, Partington just after 9pm on January 5, 2024. The victim sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.

Police believe two men fled the scene in the victim’s Ford Focus, which was stolen during the incident. The suspects were last seen driving towards Central Road, Partington. No arrests have been made so far as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Inspector Justin Bryant of GMP Trafford CID has urged the community to remain calm, stating: “This appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.” He also confirmed that additional police patrols will be deployed in the area over the coming days to reassure residents and enhance security.

Authorities are appealing to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam footage, or any information related to the incident to come forward. Inspector Bryant said, “Please approach officers on patrol if you have any concerns or information.”
