Police Hunt ‘Knife-Wielding’ Attacker After Two Park Assaults in Hillingdon
Detectives are on high alert after two linked sexual assaults rocked Hillingdon parks in broad daylight over the weekend.
Woman Dragged and Assaulted in Northwood Park
Just before 3pm on Saturday, 12 September, a woman in her 20s was grabbed by a man in The Gravel Pits, Northwood. He dragged her into a secluded spot and sexually assaulted her, threatening with a knife to keep her quiet. Luckily, a passerby’s arrival gave her the chance to call for help. The attacker fled towards Copse Wood Way.
Second Attack at Duck Pond Park, Ruislip
The following morning at 8:15am, another woman, this time in her 50s, was attacked in Duck Pond Park, Ruislip. The man covered her mouth, warned he’d stab her if she shouted, then dragged her off the path towards a ditch. She screamed, forcing him to bolt towards Pinn Way. No knife was seen in either incident.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- Light-skinned Black or Asian man
- Age 20-30
- About 5ft 8in, slim build
- Bald or closely shaved head
- Wearing dark tracksuit during both attacks
Detective Sergeant Kevin Pandya, leading the investigation, said:
“Both attacks happened in broad daylight. We are confident the same man is behind them. Our officers are working tirelessly to find him, but we need the public’s help.”
