Police are actively searching for a suspect following a shocking attack in Rise Park on Sunday night, January 29, 2023. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in a dimly lit alleyway off Bestwood Park Drive, near Brownlow Drive.

Authorities have increased patrols in the area as the investigation intensifies. Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe is key to solving the case and are calling on the public to help identify him.

The suspect is described as a slim white man in his forties, with a short grey beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing a dark suit.

Detective Inspector Craig Hall of Nottinghamshire Police said, “This was a horrific attack that has deeply affected the victim and her family. We have a large team working hard to bring the perpetrator to justice.”

Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who used the alleyway between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on January 29, including dog walkers. They also request anyone with CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone, or video doorbell footage from the area that has not yet been shared to come forward.

The alley is located between Rise Park Academy and Rise Park High School, making it a well-known route for local residents.

DI Hall added, “Thankfully, attacks like these are rare. But please stay vigilant and report anything suspicious. Every clue counts.”
