Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Blackwall Tunnel Crash
A motorcyclist is fighting for life after a serious smash involving two bikes near the Blackwall Tunnel in the early hours of Tuesday, June 4.
Emergency crews raced to the A102 Northbound just before 1:10am. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service found a male rider with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.
Two Men Arrested Over Theft and Drug Charges
Police arrested two 24-year-old men at the scene on suspicion of motor vehicle theft. One of the suspects also faces cannabis possession charges. Both are currently in custody for questioning.
Road Closures Cause Chaos
The A102 Northbound near the Blackwall Tunnel was shut, sparking major travel disruption. Buses are being diverted and drivers are urged to avoid the area while investigations continue.

“We’re working to establish the full circumstances of the incident. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant footage is encouraged to contact us immediately,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
