90-Year-Old Woman Mugged in Shocking Winchester Road Robbery
Police rushed to Winchester Road just before 10pm on 16 March after a terrifying robbery left a 90-year-old woman injured.
Granny’s Handbag Snatched – Leaves Her Injured in Road
The elderly victim was walking eastbound with a friend when two thieves grabbed her burgundy handbag straight from her lap. The snatch sent her falling into the road, hitting her head, face, arm, and hand. Thankfully, her injuries aren’t serious, but she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Suspects Flee Towards Botley Road
The robbers made off towards Botley Road. Police describe them as slim, around 5ft 5ins tall. One wore dark clothes, the other light clothing with a hood up. The stolen handbag is a distinctive burgundy colour.
