£85-Year-Old Woman Dies After Van Collision on Portsmouth High Street
Tragedy struck Portsmouth’s High Street around midday when an 85-year-old woman was hit by a white Nissan van. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Arrested Over Suspected Careless Driving
The van driver, a 61-year-old man from Cosham, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. Officers are supporting the victim’s family during this difficult time.
