Tragedy on High Street: 85-Year-Old Woman Killed in Van Collision
Officers rushed to the High Street around midday after a white Nissan van crashed into an 85-year-old pedestrian from Portsmouth. Despite their best efforts, the elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Arrested on Suspicion of Careless Driving
The van driver, a 61-year-old man from Cosham, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. Police are supporting the victim’s family during this difficult time.
