Three Beloved Dogs Stolen in Shocking Daytime Theft
Between 7pm on Tuesday 3 August and 7am Wednesday 4 August, heartless thieves struck at Brookfield Farm on West Road, making off with three cherished dogs. Two Cockapoos, Elvis and Tony, along with a Cocker Spaniel named Remy, were stolen in the brazen raid.
Police Hunting Foreign-Plated SUV and Silver Car
Detectives are on the lookout for a dark-coloured, older model Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, or Honda CRV. The vehicle, sporting foreign number plates, was spotted in the area around 6pm on the same day.
They also want to speak to the driver of a small silver car, believed to be a Nissan Micra, plus a pedestrian caught on CCTV near Asda, Spondon. Anyone who saw this car or recognises themselves in the footage is urged to come forward immediately.
Dashcam Drivers Urgently Needed to Help Crack Case
Officers ask anyone driving through Acorn Way, Raynesway, or Aspen Drive between 6pm and 6.30pm on 3 August to check dashcam footage. Detective Sergeant Scott McDermott thanked those who have come forward but stressed:
“We are now particularly keen to trace the driver of this car and anyone else in the area. They may have crucial information to help our enquiries.”
He added: “This is understandably a very distressing time for the dogs’ owners and carers, who are desperate to have their beloved pets returned.”
