An 81-year-old man has tragically died following a collision with a car in Romford. The crash occurred at around 4:49 PM on Tuesday, December 3, on Beauly Way.

Emergency crews, including the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The elderly pedestrian was treated at the spot before being taken to hospital.

Despite desperate medical efforts, the man passed away three days later on Friday, December 6. His family stayed by his side and are receiving support from specially trained officers as they come to terms with the loss.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with police inquiries. Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation and urgently seek witnesses.

Detective Sergeant Rob Groombridge from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family. We are working to gather all available evidence, including CCTV and dashcam footage. If you witnessed the collision or have any information, I urge you to contact us.”
