Nicola Courtney, 34, and her three-year-old son, Lucas Page, both from Scunthorpe, tragically lost their lives in a devastating crash on the A180 in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire, last Friday.

At 9.06pm, a white lorry traveling westbound between Stallingborough and Brocklesby collided with a stationary blue Ford Focus that had broken down in the middle of the road.

Humberside Police confirmed that specialist officers are supporting the families of the victims. A police spokesperson said, “The full circumstances of the collision will be established during this complex investigation. We ask people not to speculate.”

Before the crash, multiple calls were made reporting the broken-down vehicle. Humberside Police have referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and are urging any witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.
