A family in Hythe has been left devastated after a fierce fire destroyed their property. Fire investigators are now probing the cause of the blaze that wiped out everything inside.
One woman, who asked to remain anonymous, revealed her husband is a broken man. He spent countless hours building and fitting out the interior, pouring his heart and soul into the home.
New Home Ruined Just as They Began Moving In
The family had just started moving in and had completed rendering the exterior when disaster struck. The fire ravaged the property, leaving them with nothing but ruins.
Kent Fire and Rescue Battle Intense Roof Blaze
Kent Fire and Rescue Service scrambled seven fire engines and a height vehicle to tackle the fierce flames. The fire spread rapidly, severely damaging the rafters and roof of the single-story building near the seafront on Dymchurch Road.
A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We are on the scene of a building fire in Dymchurch Road, Hythe. Seven fire engines and a height vehicle have been dispatched. Crews wearing breathing apparatus are extinguishing the flames with hose reel jets and main jets. The road remains closed while firefighting continues.”
The family now faces the heartbreaking task of rebuilding after losing their dream home in the brutal fire.
