A fatal crash occurred on Dorking Road on New Year’s Day, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist in his sixties. The collision took place this afternoon on the bridge over the M25 and involved a motorcycle, a red Citroen DS3, and a black Ford Ranger 4×4.
Emergency teams were alerted at 2.40pm by one of the car drivers involved in the incident. Nearby healthcare workers acted quickly, performing CPR on the motorcyclist. Staff from the Pfizer building also rushed to the scene with a defibrillator to assist.
Despite the efforts of those present, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed of the tragic news.
Surrey Police have closed key junctions around Headley Road and Headley Common Road while investigations continue. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes due to these road closures.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact Surrey Police by calling 101 and quoting reference PR/45220000225.
