A four-vehicle crash on the Sheerness-bound A249 near Bobbing caused significant traffic disruption on the morning of Tuesday, June 7. The collision involved two lorries, a van, and a car.

Kent Police received reports of the incident at around 8:25am. Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where two individuals sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The carriageway between Key Street and the Bobbing slip road remains closed as officials work to recover the vehicles and clear debris from the road. A diversion route has been put in place for motorists affected by the closure.

A National Highways spokesperson confirmed that the northbound A249 between the A2 and A250 Queenborough would remain closed until approximately 3pm to facilitate cleanup and recovery operations. The spokesman added, “The closure is expected to clear between 1:15pm and 1:30pm with normal traffic conditions resuming by 2:15pm to 2:30pm.”
