Man Assaulted with Irritant at Busy Station
A serious assault has rocked North Greenwich underground station after a man had a mysterious liquid thrown into his face on Saturday night. Police rushed to the scene shortly before 7pm following reports of the attack, which left the victim in pain and needing urgent medical care.
Emergency Teams Respond Swiftly
Officers from the Metropolitan Police, alongside paramedics and the London Ambulance Service, were quick to act. They washed the substance from the victim’s eyes and made the area safe. The exact nature of the liquid remains undisclosed, but officials confirmed it was an irritant.

“Police were called shortly before 7pm on Saturday, 9 November, to a man who had liquid thrown into his eyes. The liquid was found to be an irritant. The man was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.”
