Kent Police are appealing for public help after recovering suspected stolen items linked to a series of vehicle break-ins in Swanley. The incidents took place in the early hours of Sunday 28 June 2026 in a London Road car park, leading to a police investigation.
Officers obtained CCTV footage showing suspects fleeing the scene in a damaged blue Ford Focus. The following afternoon, police located the vehicle on Blacksmiths Lane and attempted to stop it. The driver ignored police commands and sped away, resulting in three suspects escaping on foot in Star Lane.
The seized car contained various items including power tools, golf clubs, and an electric bike, all believed to have been stolen during the break-ins.
Sergeant Robbie Cooke urged anyone affected by the vehicle break-ins or who recognises the recovered property to contact the police. Claimants will need to provide proof of ownership to retrieve their items.
If you have any information or wish to identify recovered property, please call the West Kent appeals line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/104294/26.
