A man who was airlifted to a London hospital after a digger accident in Snodland has sadly died. The crash occurred on September 2 in a field off Ladds Lane when a digger tipped over, seriously injuring the man.

Emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire crews, were called to the scene at around 4 PM. The injured man received urgent treatment before being airlifted to hospital. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, he later died from his injuries.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service alerted police, prompting a major emergency response. The rural route near Ladds Lane was closed to traffic while officers and emergency crews worked at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive with a view to providing a report for the coroner.”

The tragic accident remains under thorough investigation, with further details expected once the official report is completed.
