New ‘Adopt a Dolly’ Toy Store Opens in Fareham

The Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Mike Ford, and Mayoress Mrs Anne Ford joined Gillian Stretton-Knowles to launch the brand-new ‘Adopt a Dolly’ store in Fareham Shopping Centre on Saturday.

Tiny Tots Get the Full Motherhood Experience

Gilly, 36, from Baffins, explained the inspiration behind the shop: “A child’s first experience is of mother care. It’s no wonder they want to copy their role models as they grow up.”

‘Adopt a Dolly’ isn’t your average toy shop. It offers babies and toddlers a chance to mimic motherhood, with newborn baby dolls to adopt and care for.

Adopt, Nurture, and Celebrate

  • Adopt a doll and take it home with a personalised adoption certificate.
  • All the kit needed to care for your baby doll comes included.
  • Each year, your doll gets a birthday card sent right to your door.

This unique concept brings tender, nurturing play to young children, helping them develop empathy and care from day one.
