Car Rams Sunderland Shop and Goes Up in Flames

Chaos hit Sunderland’s Grangetown area last Monday night when a silver car was deliberately driven into the Tan Solo store on Ryhope Road – then set on fire.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Northumbria Police rushed to the scene at 11.12pm to find the vehicle had smashed through the storefront shutters before being ignited. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the shocking attack.

Damage Racks Up After Arson Attack

The blaze caused serious damage to the shop and nearby properties, leaving the community reeling.
