Devon & Cornwall Police have launched an urgent appeal following the assault of a teenage boy at Carlyon Bay Beach, St Austell, on Thursday 8 June 2026.
The attack occurred between 5pm and 6pm near the large rock feature at the beach. Members of the public rushed to assist the victim immediately after the incident.
Three boys, aged between 12 and 14, are suspected of carrying out the assault. After the attack, the suspects fled the scene.
Police have released detailed descriptions of the suspects to aid identification. The first suspect is described as a 5ft 3ins white male wearing a black t-shirt that fades to white and black cargo shorts. The second is a taller 6ft 1ins white male seen wearing a grey and black tracksuit jacket, a black bucket hat, and dark shorts. The third suspect is a mixed ethnicity male, 5ft 3ins tall, dressed in a neon pink, purple, and grey Nike windbreaker, a bucket hat, and shorts.
Officers are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about the suspects to come forward. Eyewitness accounts are vital to progressing the investigation and ensuring justice for the teenage victim.
