Police caught 11 suspected migrants sprinting along the hard shoulder of the M20 near junction 4 for Leybourne after they reportedly bolted from a lorry.
Chaos on the M20
Motorists phoned in frantic reports of people “running all over the place” near the motorway exit. Officers swooped in and found the group around 10am.
Migrant Hunt Underway
A Kent Police spokesperson confirmed the migrants were believed to have been travelling in a lorry. “Inquiries are ongoing to locate this vehicle,” they added.
Immigration Action
All 11 individuals have now been taken to a Home Office immigration enforcement centre in Folkestone for further processing.
