Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a shooting incident in Prescot, Knowsley, on Sunday afternoon, 24 May. Two men, both in their 20s, were found with gunshot wounds.
The victims were discovered at 2.50pm on Pottery Lane near Stadt Moers Park in Whiston. They were promptly taken to hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
Detectives investigating the Prescot attack are conducting house-to-house enquiries, reviewing CCTV footage, and carrying out forensic work in both Prescot and Whiston. To support the community and aid the investigation, a mobile police station has been established in the area.
Police believe the shooting took place in Stadt Moers Park, with the victims later found injured on Pottery Lane. Officers are keeping an open mind regarding the circumstances surrounding the attack as the investigation progresses.
Detective Superintendent Rachel Wilson has urged anyone who was near Pottery Lane or Stadt Moers Park around the time of the shooting to come forward. She highlighted the importance of any CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, as well as descriptions or details that might appear minor.
