A232 High Street in West Wickham remains shut after a serious crash in the early hours today.

Crash Shuts A232 in Both Directions

The collision happened at around 1am on Thursday, 13 March, between A214 Station Road (Swan traffic lights) and Ravenswood Avenue. Emergency crews, including the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene where at least one person was treated by paramedics.

Road Closed, Traffic Chaos Builds

The High Street has been closed all morning while officers carry out detailed investigations. This has caused major traffic jams on nearby routes like Station Road and Ravenswood Crescent, with drivers forced to find alternative ways around the closure.

Police Issue Warning to Drivers

“Officers were called just after 1am to a collision on the A232 High Street. Paramedics treated one person at the scene. The road remains closed in both directions as enquiries continue,” a Metropolitan Police source confirmed.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and plan alternate routes until the road reopens.
