Sandhurst Avenue Reopens After Fire Chaos

Sandhurst Avenue is back open to the public and motorists after the recent blaze. But beware – Forest Road remains closed as a full clean-up and investigation are still underway.

Access Restored to Bessemer Drive Residents

Residents can now reach Bessemer Drive via Clifford Street. Meanwhile, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has mostly put out the fire but are still on-site monitoring the situation.

Police and Fire Teams Launch Joint Probe

Once the area is deemed safe, a joint investigation involving Nottinghamshire Police and fire crews will get underway to uncover the fire’s cause.

Chief Inspector Arnie Ahmed said: “Thanks to everyone affected by this incident. We’re working hard with the fire service and council to restore normality.

Please don’t touch any debris or rubble around your property – specialist contractors will visit homes on Sandhurst Avenue, Forest Road, Bessemer Drive, and nearby streets to clear fire debris safely.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort this out.”
