Agatha Christie’s “Murder is Easy” Begins Production

Production has kicked off on “Murder is Easy”, the much-anticipated Agatha Christie adaptation set to thrill fans worldwide. This gripping two-part drama is a collaboration between Mammoth Screen, the minds behind hits like The Serpent and World on Fire, and Agatha Christie Limited, famed for adaptations such as And Then There Were None and Death on the Nile. UK viewers can catch it on BBC One and iPlayer, while fans in the US, Canada, and South Africa can stream it on BritBox International.

Star-Studded Cast and Creative Powerhouse

The story is adapted by Siân Ejiwunmi-Le Berre and directed by Meenu Gaur, known for her work on Zinda Bhaag and World on Fire. Leading the stellar cast is David Jonsson (Industry, Rye Lane) playing Fitzwilliam, and Morfydd Clark (Lord of the Rings, Saint Maud) as Bridget. Joining them are renowned talents like Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey, After Life), Sinead Matthews (The Crown), Tom Riley (The Nevers), and Douglas Henshall (Shetland).

A Dark Mystery Set in 1950s England

The drama unfolds in 1954 England, where Fitzwilliam meets Miss Pinkerton (Wilton) on a train to London. She warns of a ruthless killer terrorising the sleepy village of Wychwood under Ashe. While locals chalk up the deaths to accidents, Miss Pinkerton suspects foul play. When she’s found dead on her way to Scotland Yard, Fitzwilliam launches a desperate hunt for the murderer before they strike again. In this quiet village, murder truly is easy.
