Woman Stabbed to Death in Enfield Home
A murder probe is underway after a woman was fatally stabbed at a house in Enfield over the weekend.
Rapid Police Response at Ayley Croft
Met Police rushed to the scene at around 7pm on Saturday, 19 April, after reports of a stabbing at a residential property on Ayley Croft. Officers found a woman suffering from stab wounds. Despite efforts by police and the London Ambulance Service, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim Identified as Pamela Munro, 45
The victim has been named as Pamela Munro, 45, a local resident. Her family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers during this tragic time.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
Police arrested a 29-year-old man on Monday morning, 21 April, on suspicion of Pamela’s murder. He remains in custody as detectives dig deeper into the case.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Investigating officers have worked relentlessly across the weekend to investigate the circumstances around Pamela’s death. We continue to support her family who are understandably devastated.”
Public Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
DCI John urged anyone who was in the Ayley Croft area between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on the night of the attack to come forward. “Drivers with dashcam footage are especially encouraged to get in touch,” he said.
Neighbourhood Support and Ongoing Investigation
Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, Enfield Borough Commander, commented: “Our thoughts are with Pamela’s family and local residents who will have been deeply affected by this tragic death. Officers from our Neighbourhood and Specialist Crime teams will remain in the area to support the community and assist with the investigation.”
