Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Motorbike Crash on B3089
Paul Barrett, 42, from White Road, Mere, has been charged with murder following the death of a 43-year-old motorcyclist on the B3089 last Wednesday evening at around 7pm.
Suspect to Appear in Court
Barrett is set to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27th December. Police are continuing their investigation into the tragic incident.
Police Speak Out
Detective Inspector Simon Childe, Senior Investigating Officer, expressed his condolences to the victim’s family. He said:
“I would like to start by offering my sincere condolences to the family of the victim. We will continue to support them throughout this with specialist officers. This charge is the result of the hard work and dedication of not just the Major Crime Investigation Team but all areas of Wiltshire Police. I’d also like to thank the local community for their support and patience, especially as we had to close the road again today as part of our investigation.”
