Axe-Wielding Suspect Arrested

Vladyslav Dryhval, 46, from Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, was charged early Thursday, 15 April, with two counts of possessing an offensive weapon and one count of carrying a bladed article.

Security Guards Spot Axe

On Tuesday evening, 13 April at 6.30pm, private security guards on The Mall, SW1A, were tipped off by the public about a man carrying an axe. The guards confronted and held Dryhval until armed police patrolling nearby swooped in to arrest him.

Remanded in Custody, Court Appearance Imminent

Dryhval was taken into custody and is currently remanded. He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later this morning.
