Door staff at the John Russell Fox pub in Andover acted quickly to stop a man carrying a knife in his waistband. Hamza Hashi, 18, from East London, was spotted with the weapon tucked in his back pocket before he could cause any trouble.

The incident took place at 10.50pm on Friday evening at the John Russell Fox pub. Security staff promptly restrained Hashi, preventing any potential threat and ensuring the safety of other patrons. Police were called to the scene immediately following the intervention.

Hamza Hashi, who lives on Wallwood Street in East London, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place. Hampshire Constabulary also confirmed that he faces charges related to possession of a class B drug.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said, “A man has been charged in connection with an incident at the John Russell Fox pub in Andover. We were called to the pub at 10.50pm on Friday where it is alleged a man entered the premises with a knife in his back pocket.”
