Rapper Takayo Stabbed to Death Under Westway Flyover

Tragedy struck Ladbroke Grove on the evening of Monday, 29 August, when 21-year-old rapper Takayo was fatally stabbed under the Westway flyover. Despite rushed hospital treatment, Takayo died from a stab wound to his femoral artery.

Four Arrested – Police Hunt Key Suspect

So far, officers have arrested four people linked to the murder. A 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were detained in Bristol on suspicion of murder. A 20-year-old woman was arrested in Islington for assisting an offender, and a 17-year-old was later arrested in Bristol. Two suspects were bailed, and one released under investigation.

Detective Inspector Laura Semple said: “We are making good progress with our investigation into Takayo’s tragic death which has naturally left his family devastated. However, we really need the public’s help to identify the person seen in the CCTV image we have released today.”

Family Plea: Help Bring Killer to Justice

Takayo’s loved ones are heartbroken. “He was so looking forward to being a dad and would have made a fabulous one,” his family said. His son, born on 9 November, arrived too late to meet his father.

The family urged the public for any information, no matter how small. “Please help us bring Takayo’s killers to justice so his death was not in vain,” they added.

There were hundreds of people near the scene at the time, and police believe many witnessed the attack.
