Six young offenders sparked a brief disturbance at HMP/YOI Feltham, which was swiftly and safely handled by prison staff. The incident occurred inside the young offenders’ unit but was brought under control with no injuries reported.
The youths climbed onto netting within the facility, creating a risky situation. When specialist teams arrived, the offenders complied immediately and climbed down without further trouble. They were promptly returned to their cells.
Prison authorities are currently reviewing the episode and have indicated that those involved may face court proceedings. If convicted, the offenders could receive additional sentences on top of their current time behind bars.
A Prison Service spokesperson praised the staff for their quick response, stating: “Hardworking staff have safely resolved a minor and isolated incident involving six young offenders at HMP/YOI Feltham. There were no injuries.”
