Teen Girl Raped in Warlingham: Police Urge Dashcam Drivers to Come Forward
Officers are still on the hunt after a teenage girl was raped late Saturday night (25 May) in Warlingham. A crime scene cordon remains in place while forensic teams comb the area for evidence.
Investigation Underway, Public Help Crucial
Detective Sergeant Steve Muncaster from Surrey Police’s Safeguarding Investigation Unit said: “We want to thank everyone who has shared our appeal and those who’ve contacted us with any information. We’re reviewing all tips and prioritising enquiries.”
Attacker Unknown, But Witnesses Step Up
He added, “The victim has suffered a horrendous ordeal and can’t provide a description of her attacker. We believe he is a stranger. No arrests have been made yet, but identification efforts are ongoing.”
The man and woman who gave the victim a lift have come forward, helping the investigation move forward.
Dashcam Drivers in Warlingham: Check Your Footage!
Police are especially keen to hear from drivers and taxi drivers with dashcams who were in the area between 10pm Saturday and 12.30am Sunday. No vehicle is currently linked to the crime, but officers want to rule anything out.
