New Ash Green Murder: Police Renew Plea to Walkers for Crucial Clues

Detectives probing the disappearance and murder of Sarah Wellgreen have launched a fresh appeal to walkers and locals in New Ash Green. The 46-year-old was last spotted on the evening of Tuesday, 9 October 2018, near Bazes Shaw.

Search Intensifies as Spring Arrives

With warmer weather bringing more people outdoors, officers urge anyone out in rural areas to stay alert. Detective Chief Inspector Ivan Beasley from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said: “Sarah vanished over five months ago. Since then, we’ve arrested and charged a man. Our search teams, along with dedicated volunteers, are tirelessly scouring multiple locations.”

He added: “As spring emerges, dog walkers and countryside visitors must report anything suspicious immediately. Residents and landowners in New Ash Green should check gardens, sheds, and other outbuildings carefully.”

Man Charged, Trial Looms

Ben Lacomba, 38, from Bazes Shaw, remains in custody charged with Sarah’s murder. His trial is set for 18 June at Maidstone Crown Court.
