Wiltshire Police were called to Boscombe Down Road at around 10pm on May 4 following reports of a large violent fight. During the incident, one man sustained injuries to his head and shoulder and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and affray. He was detained at Gablecross custody for questioning but has since been released on conditional bail as police continue their enquiries.

Insp Russell Griffin addressed the local community, stating, “We understand this incident would have caused concern in the local community – please be reassured that an arrest has been made and we are continuing with our investigation today.” He also confirmed that neighbourhood officers will maintain patrols in the area to ensure public safety.
