Police are investigating after a massive five-foot Christmas Nutcracker, valued at £250, was stolen in broad daylight from outside a business in Sheerness. The festive figure disappeared from Broadway on the afternoon of Friday, December 5, leaving local residents shocked.

Kent Police received the alert at 1.33pm, reporting that the Nutcracker had been taken approximately half an hour earlier. The giant statue had been placed outside a funeral home to offer comfort to mourners during the holiday season.

Two men, aged 59 and 39, have been arrested in connection with the theft. Authorities are continuing their inquiries and are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward to assist with the investigation.
