Tragic Death of Female Cyclist in Hackney Hit-and-Run
Police are hunting witnesses after a 36-year-old woman cyclist died following a crash with a car in Hackney.
Early Morning Crash on Whiston Road
Emergency services were called at 6.41am on Thursday, 21 September, after reports of a collision between a car and a bike on Whiston Road, E2. Paramedics from the 1 Ambulance Service rushed to the scene.
Despite their efforts, the cyclist was pronounced dead at hospital. Her grieving family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
Hit-and-Run Suspects Flee the Scene
Witnesses say two men in the car fled before emergency services arrived. Police are urgently trying to track them down as enquiries continue.
