Arson Probe Underway After Fiery Blaze Destroys Titchfield Car Dealership
A major arson investigation has kicked off after a massive fire tore through a Titchfield car dealership on Sunday afternoon.
Massive Firefighters Response Tackles Blaze
Over 60 firefighters and 10 fire engines from across Hampshire battled the intense blaze at Contact Car Sales on Laveys Lane. Crews came from Fareham, Hightown, Southsea, Portchester, Cosham, Eastleigh, Hamble, Gosport, Romsey, Bordon, and Andover to help control the inferno.
Legal Dispute Site Reduced to Rubble
The dealership, reportedly involved in legal disputes over its vehicles, suffered heavy damage with part of the site completely destroyed. Safety teams set up an exclusion zone due to dangerous acetylene stored on site, adding further risk to the operation.
Cops and Firefighters Join Forces in Arson Hunt
Hampshire Fire and Rescue are now working alongside Hampshire Constabulary investigating the aftermath. Police confirmed the fire is being treated as unexplained, with arson detectives taking the lead in the probe.
The case remains open as investigators comb through evidence to uncover what sparked the devastating blaze.
