Chaos erupted near East India DLR station after a serious assault sparked a major police operation.
Crime Scene Sealed Off
Police were scrambled just before midnight on Wednesday. They quickly set up multiple cordons, including sealing off John Smith Mews, to secure the area.
Damaged VW Golf Left at Scene
A battered dark-coloured VW Golf was found abandoned in the street. The vehicle sported a huge dent and rear wheel damage after smashing into a lamp post, which lies broken nearby.
Driver Flees, Search Dogs Deployed
The driver is believed to have fled the scene. Met Police swiftly deployed specialist search dogs to comb the area for suspects and possible weapons.
