Police raced to Shelley Road, Ashton, Lancashire just before 9am on Friday after reports of a stabbing.

Emergency crews found two men with stab wounds — a man in his 20s and another in his 50s. Both were rushed to hospital, but their injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

46-Year-Old Arrested Over Attempted Murder

A 46-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police launched a full investigation and are urging witnesses to come forward.

Det Sgt Samantha Bartley, Preston CID, said: “This was a serious incident which has resulted in two people suffering some significant injuries. While we have arrested one man our enquiries are very much ongoing and I would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information or footage, including CCTV, dashcam or Ring Doorbell, to come forward and speak to us.”
