Gunshots Fired at Car on Steers Croft – Police Launch Urgent Hunt
Early morning drama unfolded on Steers Croft around 5.55am when shots rang out at a car driving along the street. A man on an electric bike pulled up alongside the vehicle and loud bangs were heard, with the car showing damage consistent with gunfire.

Thankfully, neither of the car’s occupants were hurt and they managed to drive off to safety. Police are now on high alert, piecing together what happened during the scary incident.
Police Launch Full Investigation
Chief Inspector Rob Ross revealed a wide-ranging probe is underway, including:
- House-to-house inquiries
- CCTV reviews
- Witness interviews
- Forensic examinations
“Guns have no place on our streets. Thankfully the occupants were uninjured but this could have been far worse,” said Ross.
“We’re urging anyone with info to come forward immediately. Taxi or delivery drivers in the area around 6am should check dashcam footage for anything suspicious.”
