Shock in Billingham as thugs on moped target elderly woman in brazen brick attack
Three masked men on a moped launched a terrifying assault on an elderly resident in Billingham, smashing windows and hurling bricks – one narrowly missing the pensioner.
Horrific attack in broad daylight
The chilling incident happened around 2:30pm on Wednesday, October 30 on Atwick Close. The trio first smashed a car’s rear window before ramping up their violence by throwing bricks at the house.
Most frighteningly, one attacker deliberately aimed a brick at an elderly woman standing outside. She missed by inches, sparking fears of serious injury in the close-knit community.
Police hunt suspects in dark clothing and balaclavas
Cleveland Police confirmed the men wore dark clothing and balaclavas – with one described as larger and wearing shorts. Officers are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“This was a calculated attack on a vulnerable elderly victim,” a police spokesperson said. “We need the public’s help to catch those responsible.”
