Tragedy in Brownhills: Two-Week-Old Baby Dies After Pram Hit by BMW

Heartbreaking Death of Baby Ciaran Leigh Morris

A two-week-old baby boy, named by grieving family as Ciaran Leigh Morris, has died after a shocking collision in Brownhills. The infant was struck when a BMW hit his pram on High Street at around 4pm.

Ciaran was being pushed along the pavement by relatives when the BMW, involved in a crash with another car moments earlier, slammed into the pram. Despite being rushed to hospital, nothing could save the tiny tot.

Parents’ Emotional Tribute

“Mommy’s and Daddy’s hearts will always ache, we love you more than anything,” Ciaran’s parents said in a tearful statement.

“We didn’t get to keep you for long but we are happy we had the chance to meet you, look after you and call you our son. Fly high angel.”

Police Appeal and Investigation Update

Sergeant Mark Crozier of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We’ve all been left numb by the sad death of Ciaran. He was just two-weeks-old and his life has been tragically taken away.”

“The pain is unimaginable for his family. We’re supporting them fully while working to piece together exactly what happened.”

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody. Passengers from the BMW and occupants of the other car are cooperating with police.

Call for Witnesses

Police urge anyone who was nearby or has dashcam footage before or during the collision to come forward.

Officers ask the public to respect the family’s privacy during this tragic time.
