Parents on Newport’s Bluebell Meadows estate are on edge after a stranger acted suspiciously around their children. The incident occurred last Tuesday afternoon when children were playing in Pan Country Park off Beauchamp.
The man approached the children, who quickly alerted their parents and were advised to move to a park closer to their homes. Shockingly, the man followed them.
Concerned parents promptly reported the incident to Hampshire Constabulary. The man is described as having dark hair and wearing a green jacket and a blue t-shirt.
Hampshire Police have been contacted for comment as the local community remains on high alert following the incident.
