A man suffered serious injuries in a shocking hit-and-run on Bemerton Heath, Salisbury. The victim, a man in his 40s, was struck by a blue Ford Fiesta that mounted the pavement on Pinewood Close at around 5.45pm on Saturday, 10 May.

Arrest Made But Car Still Missing

Wiltshire Police have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He is currently in custody. However, the 09-plate blue Ford Fiesta involved in the incident remains missing. Officers believe the car may have been abandoned locally with visible damage to its front bumper.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Detective Sergeant Matthew Goldring of South CID said: “This was a targeted incident in broad daylight. The victim remains in hospital with serious leg injuries. We’ve made an arrest but are still urgently trying to trace the vehicle involved.”

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the car before or after the crash, or who has dash cam footage, to come forward immediately.
