Bus Terror in Mile End: Hostage Taken and Passengers Stabbed
Armed police and sniffer dogs swarmed Mile End Road just after midnight on Wednesday. A man had reportedly taken a bus hostage outside Mile End underground station and stabbed two passengers.
Driver Sounds Alarm as Passengers Sliced
The shaken bus driver hit the panic button to alert control. He revealed two people were stabbed multiple times, with one critically injured and fighting for their life. Mile End Road was shut in both directions as police locked down the scene and sealed it off as a crime zone.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
- British Transport Police, Metropolitan Police officers, and dog handlers raced to the incident.
- Paramedics treated stab wound victims at the scene.
- The N25 bus, named “Spirit of London” in memory of 7/7 victims, is now a cordoned crime scene.
First aid gear and blue gloves littered the bus floor alongside two blood pools near the door. Officers on scene administered first aid immediately.
The Metropolitan Police have been approached for comment as the investigation continues.
