Britain’s Got Talent has launched its 19th series with a record low audience, drawing only three million viewers on Saturday night. This marks a significant decline for the popular ITV show, which has been a staple of UK television since 2007.

At its peak, Britain’s Got Talent attracted around 10 million viewers for its premiere episodes. However, the latest series opener has struggled to reach even a third of that number, highlighting a sharp decrease in audience interest.

Compared to last year’s launch, the viewership has fallen by approximately 1.5 million. This steep drop serves as a reminder that even long-running and well-loved TV programmes can experience a decline in their audience over time.
